EVENT: Market place leadership conference

THEME: Dominion mandate: Move from ordinary to extra-ordinary

WHERE: House of Revival Church Kisaasi

House of Revival Ministries held the Market Place Leadership Conference under the theme “Dominion Mandate: Move from Ordinary to Extraordinary” from 13th to 17th October. The conference, which was largely virtual with a physical gathering on the final day at House of Revival Church, Kisaasi, aimed to inspire Christians to pursue excellence and live out their God-given purpose in every sphere of life.

Dr Tony Hasahya opened the virtual sessions by reminding believers of God’s original intent for humanity to rule and govern. Citing Luke 19:13, he noted that Jesus’ call to “occupy until I come” is an invitation to receive, invest, and increase. “Ordinary is safe, but extraordinary requires courage, sacrifice, and vision,” he said, urging Christians to push beyond comfort zones to fulfil the dominion mandate.

Senior Pastor Michael Kintu spoke on “Strength in Collaboration, Networking and Partnerships,” drawing from Ecclesiastes 4:9–12. He emphasised that successful partnerships must be built on shared vision, passion, goals, and values, pointing to local business models like Shell outlets and Endiiro Coffee as examples.

Pastor Stephen Ochola of Deliverance Church Makerere Hill discussed “The Role of Altars and Thrones in the Marketplace,” describing it as a battleground of kingdoms. Referring to Revelation 1:5 and 5:9, he reminded believers of their priestly and kingly responsibility to represent and extend God’s kingdom through their work.

Lt Col Robert Sekidde, founder of Seroma Limited, shared insights on integrity and self-discovery as vital to business success.

The conference concluded with a business exhibition and physical gathering featuring speakers including Prof Vincent Anigbodu, Dr James Magara, Pr Chris Tarwater, and others who challenged participants to integrate faith and excellence in professional life.
